“Bibb County Detention Center Escape: Four Inmates on the Run, Including Murder Suspect Joey Fournier”

Four inmates escaped from the Bibb County Detention Center in Georgia. The inmates, including one held for murder and another for drug trafficking, escaped through a damaged window and fled in a blue Dodge Challenger. Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating them.

MACON, Ga. (Atlanta News First/Gray News) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating four inmates who escaped from the Bibb County Detention Center in Georgia. The daring escape occurred in the early hours of Monday when the inmates took advantage of a damaged dayroom window and a fence, making their way to a waiting blue Dodge Challenger that whisked them away.

The inmates who managed to flee have been identified as Joey Fournier, 52, who was being held for murder. Fournier is described as a white man with gray hair, blue eyes, standing at 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. The second escapee is Marc Kerry Anderson, 24, who was held for aggravated assault. Anderson is a Black man with dreadlocks, measuring 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. Johnifer Dernard Barnwell, 37, was being detained for the U.S. Marshals and is described as a Black man with braids, standing at 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. Lastly, Chavis Demaryo Stokes, 29, was being held for drug trafficking and possession of a firearm. Stokes is a Black man with black hair, standing at 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.

Authorities are intensifying their efforts to locate the escapees, with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, FBI, and United States Marshals Office all involved in the search.
