The mother of Harrison Olvey, the valet attendant who was fatally shot while on duty in Buckhead, has broken her silence as authorities intensify their efforts to bring his killer to justice.

The victim, identified as 25-year-old Harrison Olvey, was tragically gunned down while performing his duties at a Buckhead nightclub on Piedmont Road, near Longhorn Steakhouse. According to the Atlanta Police Department, Olvey encountered a group of individuals attempting to break into cars when one of them opened fire, claiming his life.

Autumn Ernst, Olvey’s grief-stricken mother, did not mince words when describing her feelings towards the perpetrator. “He’s a poor excuse for a human being,” Ernst declared. She called for the suspect to be apprehended and to face a lifetime behind bars, never to experience freedom again.

In a heartfelt plea, Ernst lamented the senseless loss of her son’s life. “I want his mom to suffer, I want her to lose her son,” she said, her voice filled with grief. “I want her to have his life taken, so she knows what it feels like. I want her to hurt.”

Atlanta Police have confirmed that warrants have been issued for a suspect, although they have yet to release the individual’s name. It remains unclear whether this suspect is the same person depicted in photographs circulated by detectives over the weekend, who was deemed a person of interest.

Olvey’s tragic death has left his loved ones devastated. His sister, Addison Olvey, now relies on videos to hold onto cherished memories of her beloved brother. Tearfully, she shared, “He’s my best friend. He’s the best sibling, older brother anybody can ask for.”

According to Ernst, Olvey had a bright future ahead of him, having recently graduated from Kennesaw State University. He worked as a valet attendant while pursuing his education and was on the verge of starting a new job.

“His absence will be deeply felt by countless individuals; it still feels unreal,” Ernst lamented. “We spoke every day, and it’s incredibly difficult not to hear his voice.”

While the Atlanta Police Department has yet to disclose the identity of the suspect or the charges they may face, Olvey’s family remains hopeful that an arrest will be made soon. They urge anyone with information related to the case to contact the Atlanta Police or CrimeStoppers.
