In a tragic turn of events, a Lebanese anti-tank missile struck an orchard near Margaliot, a northern Israeli border village, on Monday. The incident resulted in the death of one Indian national and left two others wounded. The casualties, all hailing from Kerala in southern India, were caught in the crossfire of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

Details of the Attack

The missile hit a moshav in Margaliot, located in the Galilee region of northern Israel, around 11 am on Monday. The deceased was identified as Patnibin Maxwell from Kollam in Kerala, whose body was taken to Ziv Hospital. Retaliation and Escalation

The assailants behind the attack are suspected to be members of the Shi’ite Hezbollah group in Lebanon. In response, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) retaliated by bombarding the launch site with artillery fire. The IDF also targeted Hezbollah facilities in southern Lebanon, where the group’s members were congregated.
