Obituary – Death – Cause of Death News : A tragic incident occurred in Hazel Run, Yellow Medicine County, where a man lost his life in a collision between his pickup truck and a semitractor pulling a loaded gravel trailer. The deceased driver, identified as 60-year-old Robert Proctor from Cottonwood, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The crash took place at the intersection of County Road 8 and 250th Avenue, with Proctor’s F-150 pickup truck failing to yield and colliding with a 2010 Peterbilt semi driven by Mark Oftedahl, 57, of Hanley Falls. Oftedahl sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Avera Granite Falls Health Center for treatment.
