A graduate of St. Patrick School, St. Xavier High School, and Bellarmine University, Deacon Walsh was ordained in 1993 and served at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral in Bardstown, Ky. His commitment to his faith extended beyond his formal ministry, as he also co-founded and managed the Bardstown Twin Cinema and Bardstown Bowling Center with his wife, Judith Strange Walsh.
In addition to his work in the community, Deacon Walsh was actively involved in various organizations, including Catholic Charities of Louisville, The Rotary Club, The Knights of Columbus, and Right to Life of Louisville. His dedication to service and compassion touched the lives of many.
Deacon Walsh is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Judith Strange Walsh, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A public visitation will be held at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Archbishop Charles C. Thompson of Indianapolis at St. Joseph. Expressions of sympathy can be made in his memory to St. Joseph School and Bethlehem High School.
