Death – Obituary- Cause of Death News : Luke Posey, a beloved 29-year-old resident of Easley, South Carolina, tragically lost his life nearly a month after a devastating motorcycle crash on Highway 178. On the evening of July 15th, Luke was involved in a fatal collision with a deer while riding his motorcycle home from work. Despite his heroic efforts to avoid the animal, the impact caused him to be thrown from his bike and suffer critical injuries.
Luke was rushed to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he fought bravely for his life for several weeks. Despite the best efforts of medical staff and the support of his loved ones, Luke succumbed to his injuries on August 12th, leaving behind a grieving community who cherished him for his kind heart, infectious smile, and adventurous spirit.

Luke was born on March 4, 1992, in Easley, South Carolina, to his loving parents, Sarah and Michael Posey. He was the youngest of three siblings, with two older sisters, Emily and Hannah, who adored him and looked up to him as their protective and caring brother. Luke attended Easley High School, where he was known for his outgoing personality and his passion for sports, particularly football and track.
After graduating from high school, Luke pursued his love for motorcycles and became an avid rider, often taking weekend trips with his friends to explore the scenic roads of South Carolina. He also had a talent for woodworking and enjoyed spending time in his workshop crafting unique pieces of furniture for his family and friends.
In addition to his hobbies, Luke was a dedicated employee at a local construction company, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond for his colleagues. His coworkers remember him as a team player who always had a positive attitude and a willingness to lend a helping hand.
Luke’s passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and generosity. He will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty to his friends, his contagious laughter that could brighten any room, and his adventurous spirit that inspired others to live life to the fullest.

A celebration of Luke’s life will be held at Easley First Baptist Church on August 21st, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and share stories of the impact he had on their lives. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local animal shelter in Luke’s name, as he had a deep love for animals and always went out of his way to help those in need.
Luke Posey may no longer be with us physically, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
