Death – Obituary- Cause of Death News : Rocky Dale Saltzgaver, 69, a beloved resident of Davenport, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly. He was known for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Rocky was born on April 15, 1952, to the late James and Margaret Saltzgaver.

Rocky was a proud member of the Davenport community and made a lasting impact on all who knew him. He worked as a dedicated employee at a local manufacturing company for over 30 years, where he was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. In his free time, Rocky enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was fishing at his favorite spot on the Mississippi River or tending to his garden.

Rocky was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sarah, his children Michael (Jennifer) and Emily (David), and his cherished grandchildren, Lily and Owen. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family, always putting their needs above his own. Rocky’s family meant everything to him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

In addition to his family, Rocky is also survived by his siblings, Mark (Karen) and Lisa (Steve), as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He had a special bond with each of them and treasured the time they spent together.

A celebration of Rocky’s life will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Davenport on Saturday, June 5th, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in Rocky’s memory.

Rocky’s passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his spirit will live on through the memories and love he shared with those around him.
