Delaware State Police Investigating Bank Robbery and Carjacking in Bear
The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shocking incident that took place this morning at the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union in Bear. On July 27, 2024, at around 10:00 a.m., troopers responded to the scene of a robbery where a white male suspect, identified as 53-year-old Timothy Halsey, entered the bank and demanded cash using a note. The employees complied with his demands, and Halsey fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

After leaving the bank, Halsey ran across the parking lot near Aha South Indian Cuisine, where he stole a 2020 gray Honda Odyssey minivan from a victim and fled the area. The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit is actively working to locate Halsey and the stolen vehicle. Halsey is described as a white male with a bald head, goatee, and tattoos on his neck and legs.
