A 64-year-old man named John Higginbotham was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly shooting his neighbor to death in Long Beach. The tragic incident took place on the 700 block of East First Street, near Alamitos Avenue, around 12:35 p.m. According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
