In a recent incident in Valdosta, a routine traffic stop led to the arrest of two individuals, Isabel Hunter and Darrell Rochester. The incident took place on Friday, June 28, 2024, when Valdosta Police Officers pulled over a vehicle for reckless driving. The driver, later identified as Darrell Rochester, attempted to flee the scene, evading the officers at the time of the stop.

Subsequently, on July 2, 2024, arrest warrants were issued for Rochester for reckless driving and misdemeanor obstruction of an officer. The Valdosta Police Department’s Power Squad, K9 Unit, and Narcotics Detectives were involved in the arrest operation at Rochester’s residence. Upon reaching the residence, Isabel Hunter, 19 years old, answered the door. Detectives immediately detected the smell of marijuana emanating from the house.

A search warrant was obtained for the residence, leading to the discovery of over 311 grams of marijuana and various items and cash indicating involvement in narcotics sales. Isabel Hunter was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a felony, and possession of drug-related items, a misdemeanor.

Rochester was eventually located at his workplace and arrested without any resistance.
