Tragic Hit-and-Run Incident Claims Life of Police Personnel in Pune
In a devastating hit-and-run incident that shocked the Bopodi area of Pune in the early hours of the morning, a tragic accident claimed the life of one police personnel and left another injured. The incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. when a reckless driver in a four-wheeler vehicle struck two beat marshals who were patrolling on a motorcycle.

The callous driver fled the scene, leaving the officers critically injured. Tragically, one of the police personnel succumbed to his injuries, while the other is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital. The injured officer is under close medical supervision, and his condition has been reported as stable.
Investigation Underway in Pune and Mumbai Hit-and-Run Cases
According to DCP Vijay Magar, the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident in Pune has been traced, but the driver is still at large. The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the case to bring the perpetrator to justice. Meanwhile, a similar hit-and-run case was reported in Mumbai yesterday, where a BMW car struck a bike in Worli, resulting in the death of a woman.
The victim, identified as Kaveri Nakhwa, was a 45-year-old resident of Worli Koliwada. Her husband sustained injuries in the accident and is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital. The police have arrested Rajendra Singh Rajawat and the father of the main accused, Rajesh Shah, in connection with the case. Both suspects will appear in court on Monday, while efforts to apprehend the main accused are ongoing.

In response to the tragic hit-and-run cases in Pune and Mumbai, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has assured the public that strict action will be taken against the culprits responsible for the accidents.
