The Philippine National Police (PNP) is set to file murder charges against two former policemen and an accomplice for the killing of beauty queen contestant Geneva Lopez and her Israeli boyfriend Yitzak Cohen. In a recent press briefing at Camp Crame, Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos presented the two former policemen identified as Rommel Abuzo and Angelo Guiang, who were both dismissed from the PNP for being absent without leave (AWOL). Abalos also named Jeffrey Santos, alias Jun Jun, as the third suspect in the case.

The suspects met with Lopez and Cohen in Barangay Armenia in Tarlac City to settle a land transaction. The couple was lured to a remote area on June 21, where they were allegedly shot by the two former policemen.
