On a fateful Friday afternoon, a devastating collision on Highway 4, about seven kilometers south of Battleford, resulted in the loss of two lives and left four others injured. The incident, which occurred around 3:15 p.m., involved a motorhome and an SUV.

Victims identified and Next of Kin Notified
The driver of the SUV, a 29-year-old woman, and a six-month-old boy, both from Red Pheasant First Nation, tragically lost their lives in the collision. RCMP confirmed that their next of kin have been notified of the heartbreaking news.
Injuries Ranging from Serious to Non-Life Threatening
One adult male passenger in the SUV sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. A male child who was also in the SUV was airlifted by STARS with injuries described as serious in nature.
On the other hand, the adult male driver and adult female passenger of the motorhome suffered injuries that were deemed non-life threatening by RCMP. They were taken to the hospital for further evaluation and care.
