According to the police report, the workers were busy at work with different tasks when Magodo, who was a carpenter, missed a step on a makeshift staircase and fell off the building. The incident took place as he and others were moving trappers on the 11th floor, leading to Magodo landing on his head and passing away on the spot.

His body was then transferred to the mortuary for further examination.

In Kericho Town, a reveler met a tragic end at the Groove Bar and Restaurant within the town. The deceased, along with two companions, had visited the establishment on July 2 and ordered drinks. Later that evening, the deceased fell asleep on the balcony and tragically never woke up. Cleaners at the restaurant discovered his lifeless body the next day, prompting the intervention of the police. While a mobile phone was found on the deceased, no identification documents were recovered. The body was taken to the mortuary for identification and autopsy.
