Homicide at 51st and Park – Victim identified
Another tragic incident has struck Kansas City, as a 79-year-old woman, Ella Monroe, has tragically lost her life in a shooting at 51st and Park. The incident occurred on 06/30/24 around 9:45 PM, when officers responded to a shooting call in the area.
Upon arrival, they found Ella Monroe unresponsive inside a vehicle at the intersection. She was immediately transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Ella succumbed to her injuries and passed away days after the shooting.
Investigation Underway
The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation into Ella Monroe’s death and is working diligently to identify any potential suspects and piece together the events leading up to the shooting. Detectives and crime scene investigators have been processing the scene for evidence and reaching out to potential witnesses for information.
