Family Tragedy Unfolds in Peshawar
It was a day like any other in the quiet neighbourhood of Badaber in Peshawar. But little did the residents know that tragedy was about to strike. On June 25, armed men entered a family’s home and committed a heinous crime that shook the entire community to its core. The victims, eight in total, included women and children, whose lives were cut short in a brutal and senseless act of violence.
Police Crack the Case
In the aftermath of the gruesome murders, the Capital City Police Peshawar sprang into action. Utilizing modern surveillance techniques and conducting thorough investigations, the police were able to track down the alleged culprits who had fled the scene. Three main suspects, identified as Rohullah, Farmanullah, and Subatullah, were apprehended. The trio, said to be father and sons, were found in possession of the weapons used in the crime.
Motive Revealed
As the investigation unfolded, a chilling motive behind the murders began to emerge. It was discovered that the suspects and the victims were closely related. The tragic incident was believed to have stemmed from a dispute over property and money, turning what should have been a family matter into a horrific tragedy. The authorities, led by KP Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat Khan and CCPO Peshawar Qasim Ali Khan, wasted no time in forming special teams to get to the bottom of the case.

A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was assembled, with SSP Operations Kashif Zulfiqar and SSP Investigation Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada at the helm. The team conducted raids in various areas, following leads and gathering crucial intelligence to piece together the events that led to the devastating loss of life. Despite the arrests of the main suspects, efforts are ongoing to bring all those involved in the heinous crime to justice.
