Arrests Made in Loma Linda Burglary Investigation

In a recent turn of events, two men and a woman have been arrested following a burglary investigation in Loma Linda. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the incident took place on June 17 at the business BWW and Company on Redlands Boulevard.

Identification of Suspects

After thorough investigation, deputies were able to identify a light brown Ford F-150 pickup truck that was linked to the burglary. On June 20, detectives and deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, leading to the arrest of the driver, Juan Arteago Avalos. Avalos, a 47-year-old Redlands resident, was taken into custody for his alleged involvement in the burglary.

Connection to Theft Ring

Further investigation led detectives to discover an additional suspect vehicle, which was found to be part of a ring of theft-related crimes in Rancho Cucamonga. Working in collaboration with other jurisdictions, detectives were able to track down the suspect vehicle to a residence in Rialto.

Arrest of Additional Suspects

On July 2, Central Station detectives and deputies from the Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) located the suspect vehicle at a home in Rialto. A search warrant was executed with the assistance of Rancho Cucamonga Station detectives, resulting in the arrest of Rialto residents Consuelo Gutierrez, 48, and Johnny Mendoza, 38. Evidence related to both investigations was recovered from the residence.
