The perpetrators then allegedly transported her body in a car before burying it at an undisclosed location and destroying evidence. Discovery of Evidence
Recently, the police team investigating the case recovered potential human body parts from a septic tank located in the compound of Anil Kumar’s house in Mannar. District Police Chief Chaitra Teresa John confirmed that the woman was indeed murdered, but details regarding the method of killing and the reasons behind it have not been revealed. The materials recovered from the septic tank have been sent for forensic examination to aid in identification.
Investigation and Confessions
The investigation into Kala’s disappearance was initiated a few months ago following an anonymous tip received at the Ambalapuzha police station. The FIR was registered based on a complaint filed by Suresh Kumar K.V., a relative of Anil Kumar. Suresh, who was taken into custody along with the arrested individuals, reportedly disclosed to investigators that Anil Kumar had sought his help in burying Kala’s body after the murder. However, Suresh refused to comply with Anil Kumar’s request due to fear.

Kala and Anil Kumar, despite belonging to different communities, got married against the wishes of Anil Kumar’s family. They had a child together, but their relationship reportedly began to deteriorate after Anil Kumar went abroad for work. Following Kala’s disappearance, Anil Kumar remarried and relocated to Israel a few months ago.
