A tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday night in the southeast valley of Las Vegas, leaving a bicyclist fighting for his life after being struck by two different vehicles. The crash occurred at 11:47 p.m. on South Nellis Boulevard and Mt. Rushmore Parkway, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

An initial investigation revealed that a 1997 Dodge Dakota was travelling north on Nellis, while a 2010 Chrysler 300C was travelling south. The bicyclist was also travelling north against traffic when he crossed the raised center median and entered the northbound lanes. The approaching Dodge struck the rear of the bicycle, ejecting him into the southbound lanes where he was hit by the Chrysler.
**Victim’s Condition**
Medical crews arrived at the scene and immediately transported the bicyclist to Sunrise Hospital’s Trauma Unit, where he remains in critical condition. The victim’s identity has not been released, but it is reported that he sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision.

The driver of the Dodge, identified as 44-year-old Anthony Wayne Tate, was placed under arrest for DUI-related charges and booked at Clark County Detention Center.
