A 19-year-old from Central Florida, Christopher Patrinostro, found himself in hot water after being arrested in connection with an online extortion case involving a 16-year-old female victim. Tampa Police Detectives from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Squad apprehended Patrinostro on multiple felony charges, including extortion.

Details of the Extortion Case

The case unfolded when a 16-year-old female from Tampa reported being contacted online by an unknown individual, later identified as Christopher Patrinostro. Patrinostro allegedly sent nude images of the young girl and demanded more, threatening to leak the material if she did not comply. The courageous victim immediately sought help from the Tampa Police Department, leading to a thorough investigation by dedicated detectives.

Arrest and Investigation

Following a detailed investigation, authorities were able to gather evidence, track down leads, and ultimately identify Patrinostro as the suspect behind the extortion scheme. An arrest warrant was issued, leading members of the Tampa Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit to apprehend Patrinostro at his residence in Brandon. Christopher Patrinostro faces a range of serious charges, including Extortion, Promotion of a Sexual Performance by a Child, Use of a Computer to Solicit Certain Illegal Acts (Misrepresent Age), and Unlawful Use of Two-Way Communications Device. Following his arrest, Patrinostro was transported to Orient Road Jail to await further legal proceedings.
