At approximately 4:33 p.m. on Friday, Saline County 911 received multiple reports of an active shooter in the 1200 block of Crestline Drive in Crete. As officers and EMTs arrived on the scene, they were met with the harrowing sound of gunfire. Booth’s house on Parkland Street was identified as the source of the shots.
The Victims
A total of seven individuals were injured in the shooting, including four children between the ages of 3 and 10, and three adults aged 22 to 43. The victims were quickly evacuated and transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. As of Saturday afternoon, four patients have been treated and released, while three remain under care.
