Carl Conrad “CC” Ward, a beloved member of the Waynesboro community in Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024 at the age of 79. He was born on November 17th, 1945, to parents Margaret and William Ward.

Mr. Ward was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, known for his kindness and generosity towards others. He was a proud veteran who served his country with honor and bravery. After his military service, he worked as a dedicated employee at a local factory for over 30 years before retiring.

In his free time, Mr. Ward enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He was known for his green thumb and could often be found tending to his beautiful flower beds in the backyard. He also had a passion for classic cars and could often be seen at local car shows admiring the vintage vehicles.

Mr. Ward is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sarah, his children, Michael (Jennifer) and Emily (David), and his grandchildren, Jacob, Olivia, and Sophia. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary and John, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Mr. Ward’s life will be held on Monday, July 1st, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waynesboro. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Ward.

Mr. Ward will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, hard work, and dedication to his family and community will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
