Death – Obituary- Cause of Death News : It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Jim Scott. Jim was a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished friend to many. His unexpected passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Jim was born on June 15, 1965, in Springfield, Illinois to the late Thomas and Mary Scott. He grew up in a close-knit family and was known for his kind heart and infectious laughter. Jim had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest.
Jim was a dedicated employee at ABC Company for over 20 years, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues. He was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Jim’s presence in the workplace will be greatly missed.
Outside of work, Jim was a devoted family man. He adored his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Emily and Michael. Jim and Sarah were inseparable, and their love for each other was evident to all who knew them. Jim was a proud father who always put his family first. He enjoyed spending time with his children, whether it was cheering them on at their soccer games or sharing a quiet evening at home.
In addition to his family, Jim had a wide circle of friends who will miss him dearly. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. Jim’s sense of humor and warm personality endeared him to all who crossed his path. He was the life of the party and could always be counted on to lift the spirits of those around him.

Visitation and funeral services for Jim Scott will be held at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, September 25th. The visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in Jim’s memory.
Jim will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was truly loved and cherished by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
