Man Accused of Murder in Garner DWI Crash Now in Police Custody

A man accused of murder in a tragic DWI crash that claimed the lives of a family of three on Memorial Day in Garner is now out of the hospital and in police custody. Jordan Porter, 25, was charged with three counts of second-degree murder on June 4. In addition to these charges, he also faces several other charges, including three counts of felony death by motor vehicle, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances (felony), reckless driving to endanger, and speeding at 82 mph in a 45 mph zone. He is also charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia, failure to stop for a steady red light, expired registration card/tag, expired inspection, and transporting an open container of alcohol after consuming.

Their 8-year-old son, Miles, was rushed to WakeMed in critical condition and was later declared brain dead. Miles’ organs were donated in a bid to save lives.
