The Chandler community is reeling from a tragic incident that unfolded earlier this week, as police have confirmed the identities of the victims in a suspected murder-suicide. The woman and her young daughter found dead in their condo have been identified as 49-year-old Cheryl Brashier and 10-year-old Shelby Brashier.
Discovery of the Bodies
The heartbreaking discovery was made by a family friend who went to check on Cheryl and Shelby on Tuesday evening. Upon entering their unlocked condo near Priest Drive and Ray Road, the friend found the bodies of the mother and daughter. Police believe both Cheryl and Shelby died from gunshot wounds, and a firearm was recovered from the bedroom where they were found.
