LIMESTONE COUNTY TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO ARREST OF TWO INDIVIDUALS

In a recent development in Limestone County, Alabama, two individuals were arrested following a routine traffic stop conducted by deputies from the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on Friday, June 21.

DETAILS OF THE TRAFFIC STOP

Deputies were on patrol in the area, specifically looking for impaired drivers, when they observed a suspicious vehicle travelling west along Highway 72 near Mooresville Road. The vehicle, which had only one working headlight, was eventually pulled over after turning south onto Mooresville Road.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 57-year-old Jamey Dan Dobbins, a resident of Hartselle, who was known to the deputies from previous investigations. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as 25-year-old Alyssa Mary Turner from Athens.

DISCOVERY OF ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES

Upon conducting a search of the vehicle, deputies discovered 1.7 grams of fentanyl along with other drug-related items. Further investigation revealed that Dobbins was allegedly soliciting prostitution using drugs and money.

ARREST AND CHARGES

As a result of the findings, Turner was arrested for trafficking dangerous drugs (fentanyl) and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is currently being held in the Limestone County Jail on a bond set at $51,000.
