Smuggling Operation Foiled by RSASTF in YSR District
In a recent operation conducted by the Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) in YSR district, six smugglers were apprehended and 15 red sanders logs were seized. The team, led by Tirupati SP Harshavardhan Raju and Task Force SP P Srinivas, acted on intelligence reports to crack down on illegal activities in the area.

Arrest and Seizure Details
After receiving information about red sanders smuggling activities near Mallepalli forest area, DSP Chechu Babu formed special teams to track down the culprits. RSI Muralidhar Reddy and his team were successful in locating the smugglers as they were loading red sanders logs into two vehicles near Autonagar.
Upon spotting the task force personnel, the smugglers attempted to flee the scene, leaving behind their vehicles. However, the police managed to apprehend six individuals while others managed to escape. The arrested individuals were identified as Yathagiri Hari, Koppili Sudhakar Reddy, Prabhu, Ramesh, Ravi, and Ayyappan Muniyan.
Biography of the Smugglers
Yathagiri Hari, aged 42, and Koppili Sudhakar Reddy, aged 29, hail from Kadapa, while Prabhu, aged 30, Ramesh, aged 31, Ravi, aged 34, and Ayyappan Muniyan, aged 29, are residents of Thiruvannamalai. These individuals were allegedly involved in the illegal smuggling of red sanders logs, a highly sought-after commodity in the black market.
Seizure of Vehicles
