The Investigation and Arrests

Abdihakim Mohamed was identified as a suspect through a thorough investigation that included surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle at the scene and tracking of cell phone location data. Mohamed was pulled over while driving the suspect vehicle on June 18 and subsequently arrested. He initially denied involvement in the shooting but later requested legal representation.

Nay Blusoe’s arrest came after he had left the state and travelled to Detroit, Michigan following the shooting. He returned to Salt Lake City on Sunday, where he was taken into custody by SLCPD officers.
