A woman has been taken into custody after authorities discovered a body inside a vehicle that had crashed on I-90 in Olmsted County, Eyota, MN over the weekend. According to a news release issued by the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office on Monday morning, deputies came across the crashed vehicle and body around 7:00 AM on Saturday.

**Details of the Incident**

The vehicle had crashed at the I-90 and Hwy. 42 interchange just south of Eyota. Deputies found the body of a 35-year-old woman in the back of the vehicle. The news release mentioned that the condition of the body suggested that the woman did not die as a result of the car accident. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Margo Lewis, was found at the scene with a passerby attending to her.

Lewis was taken from the crash site to St. Mary’s Hospital and later transported to the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center after being medically cleared. Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Tim Parkin stated that Lewis, who has an unknown residence, was arrested on suspicion of interference with a dead body. She is currently being held in custody and is set to appear in Olmsted County Court on Tuesday. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
