Tragic Shooting Incident Leaves 18-Year-Old Woman Dead in Columbus
In a heartbreaking turn of events, a fatal shooting took place at an apartment complex near Dublin, Columbus, in the early hours of Saturday morning. The victim, identified as 18-year-old Kiara Nelson, tragically lost her life in the senseless act of violence.

Details of the Shooting
Officers from the Columbus Division of Police responded to a call reporting a shooting at the Karric Place apartments on O’Sweeney Lane. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered Nelson with a gunshot wound. It was revealed that an argument between two individuals escalated, leading to the fatal shooting of Nelson, who was trying to intervene.
Despite being rushed to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition, Nelson succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Suspect at Large
