Robert was born on September 15, 1955, in a small town in Ohio. He grew up with a love for the outdoors, spending his days fishing, hunting, and hiking in the nearby woods. He always had a kind heart and a helping hand for anyone in need.

After graduating from high school, Robert enlisted in the United States Army, where he served with honor and dedication for 20 years. He was a proud veteran who always spoke fondly of his time in the military and the lifelong friendships he made during his service.

Robert met the love of his life, Sarah, while stationed overseas, and they were married for 45 years. Together, they raised three children, Mark, Emily, and John, who were the light of his life. Robert was a devoted father who always put his family first, making sure they had everything they needed and more.

In his free time, Robert enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and playing golf with his buddies. He was known for his sense of humor, his infectious laughter, and his love for a good BBQ with friends and family. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and at home, no matter where they were.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Sarah, his children, Mark, Emily, and John, his siblings, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A memorial service will be held on June 15, 2024, at the local Veterans Memorial Hall, where friends and family can come together to celebrate Robert’s life and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Robert’s honor.

Robert Paul Huey was a true gentleman, a devoted family man, and a loyal friend. He will be forever remembered for his kindness, his generosity, and his unwavering love for those around him. May he rest in peace.
