DODGE COUNTY, Wis. – A 38-year-old Watertown man was apprehended early Saturday morning, June 22, after a tense standoff in Dodge County. A woman was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.
Standoff Unfolds
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received a distress call about a 36-year-old woman with multiple deep lacerations at a residence on County Q in the Town of Shields around 5:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, deputies swiftly intervened, ensuring the injured woman received prompt medical attention from Watertown Paramedics before being transported to Aurora Medical Center in Summit. Thankfully, she is now in stable condition.
Standoff Resolution
Deputies secured the area and established a perimeter around the property where the suspect, a 38-year-old Watertown resident, had barricaded himself. The standoff continued until 12:16 a.m., when the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office SWAT successfully apprehended him.
The individual is undergoing medical treatment and will face questioning once cleared. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office stated that charges will be determined based on the outcome of the investigation.
