Arrest Made in Connection with Mechanic’s Murder in Abuja
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has made a breakthrough in the case of the murder of a mechanic named Chukwu Chukwudi at the Kugbo mechanic village in Abuja. One suspect, identified as Tijani Uzairu, has been arrested in connection with the brutal stabbing that led to the tragic death of the victim.

Details of the Incident
According to reports, Uzairu and four other suspects, who are currently on the run, brought a vehicle to the mechanic village for repairs. An argument ensued between the suspects and the deceased, which escalated into a violent altercation. During the altercation, one of the suspects stabbed Chukwu Chukwudi in the neck with a dagger, causing fatal injuries.
Upon receiving the complaint, police operatives from the Karu Division swiftly responded to the scene. They managed to apprehend Tijani Uzairu, who was identified as one of the individuals involved in the altercation. Tragically, Chukwu Chukwudi succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Police Response and Investigation
In a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, it was confirmed that the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter. The police are working diligently to bring the remaining suspects to justice and ensure that the full circumstances surrounding the murder are uncovered.
CP Igweh also issued a public advisory urging members of the community to refrain from engaging in acts of violence. He highlighted the dire consequences that often result from such actions and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and order in society.
