Tragic Accident Claims Life of Rushville Woman in Car vs. Motorcycle Collision
A heartbreaking incident occurred late Thursday evening on Ind. 3 north of Greensburg, resulting in the loss of a Rushville woman’s life. The Decatur County Sheriff’s Department reported that a car vs. motorcycle accident took place near 5625 N Ind. 3 at around 10:26 p.m. on June 20.

Details of the Collision
The tragic collision involved a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Joshus P. Fields of Greensburg and his passenger, Abby J. Collins from Rushville. The motorcycle was travelling north on Ind. 3 and was preparing to turn east when it was struck from behind by a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by a 17-year-old male.
Severe Injuries and Loss
Upon the arrival of first-responders, both Fields and Collins were found to be severely injured. They were immediately airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis by Stat Flight for emergency medical treatment. Tragically, despite the best efforts of medical staff, Abby J. Collins succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
