In a tragic turn of events, Texas police have arrested a 17-year-old suspect in connection to the Juneteenth shooting in Round Rock that resulted in the deaths of two women and injuries to 14 others, including children. The suspect, Ricky Thompson III, hailing from Manor, Texas, was apprehended early Thursday morning and has been charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks.

Additional Suspects Still at Large

Chief Banks revealed during a press conference that Thompson was not the sole shooter involved in the incident, and authorities are actively searching for other suspects. While Thompson has not yet been charged with murder, Chief Banks indicated that the charges may escalate as the investigation progresses.

Victims identified

The two victims who tragically lost their lives in the shooting have been identified as Lyndsey Vicknair, aged 33, and Ara Duke, aged 52. Both women were mothers from the Round Rock area. Additionally, fourteen individuals sustained gunshot wounds during the incident and were promptly transported to local hospitals for treatment.
