Details of the Crash

The Kansas Highway Patrol’s online crash log revealed that a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, driven by Allender, was travelling eastbound on K-10 in the right lane when it veered off the roadway to the right. Without accelerating or using brakes, the vehicle collided with a small rocky hill, causing it to roll multiple times. During the rollover, Allender was ejected from the SUV.

Injuries and Treatment

Following the crash, Allender was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for treatment of his serious injuries. Unfortunately, it was reported that Allender, who was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident, was not wearing a seat belt, which likely contributed to the severity of his injuries.
