Arrest of Most Wanted Men in Bicol and CALABARZON
Two men who were considered as the most wanted criminals in Bicol and CALABARZON have been apprehended in separate incidents in Camarines Sur and Laguna. The 29-year-old suspect from CALABARZON was wanted for a murder that took place in 2019, as well as for a similar crime that occurred on June 15, 2024. He was arrested in Calamba City.

Details of the Crime
The suspect allegedly committed the heinous act of killing a member of the LGBTQIA+ community by strangling and robbing the victim. The crime came to light when another member of the LGBTQIA+ community was found dead in their apartment, suspected to be another victim of the same perpetrator. According to PLTCOL. Rosa Component City Police Station, the suspect would occasionally give the victims rides, only to kill them and steal their valuables like cellphones, money, and other belongings.
Investigation and Arrest

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage captured the masked man’s movements, which were recognized by the victim’s friends and family. It was discovered that the suspect was already facing murder charges dating back to 2019, making him a Regional Most Wanted Person.

The suspect was apprehended in a follow-up operation in Calamba City and taken to the Sta. Rosa City Police Station. Stolen items were also recovered from him. Arrest of Long-Time Fugitive
In another incident, authorities in Barangay Batang, Pamplona, Camarines Sur, managed to arrest a 45-year-old man who had been evading arrest since 2008 for charges of acts of lasciviousness and rape. The suspect, identified as one of the regional most wanted persons, had been on the run for over a decade, hiding in Bulacan and Metro Manila.
