In a brave act of heroism, a group of Tae Kwon Do instructors at AYT An’s Yong-In Tae Kwon Do Cypress thwarted an attempted sexual assault at a business in Cypress. The instructors, whose quick thinking and selfless actions saved a woman from harm, have been hailed as heroes by the community and law enforcement.

Details of the Incident
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared the harrowing details of the incident on social media. The attacker, identified as Alex Robinson, 19, attempted to sexually assault a woman inside a business in broad daylight. The victim screamed for help, alerting the instructors at the nearby Tae Kwon Do studio.
The instructors wasted no time in rushing to the woman’s aid. They found Robinson with the victim inside the Cricket Wireless store next to their dojo. Without hesitation, they intervened, removing the woman from harm’s way and pinning Robinson to the ground until police arrived.
Legal Proceedings
Following his apprehension, Robinson appeared in probable cause court, where a judge set his bond at $100,000. A Harris County prosecutor revealed that Robinson had violently resisted the instructors’ efforts to stop the assault, biting one of them multiple times in his attempt to escape.
The judge imposed strict conditions on Robinson’s release, including a no-contact order with the victim, prohibition from possessing drugs or weapons, and a restriction from going near the business or schools in the area.
