Steve Van Cleave, a resident of the area, expressed his concerns about the recent violence, saying, “When I’m with my wife, I definitely have a swivel and I keep my eyes open around me.” Speaker Scott Saiki, who represents the Kakaako and Ala Moana neighborhoods, also weighed in, acknowledging the growing fear among residents.
Police Investigation
Police are actively investigating these incidents and searching for the suspects. The suspect in the knife threat case is described as a man between 5’5” and 5’10” tall with brown wavy hair, a beard, and brown eyes. While no arrests have been made yet, law enforcement is working diligently to bring those responsible to justice.
