The Tragic Shooting Incident at a Gas Station in Trinidad
A 35-year-old man, Jesten Wendell Supervillem, also known as Robe and Jesse, was shot and killed at a gas station in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, on Sunday, June 16, 2024. The victim, a resident of Picton Road, Laventille, was pumping fuel in a grey Kia Cerato at the St Christopher Gas Station along Wrightson Road when the incident occurred.

The Fatal Encounter
Reports indicate that around 7:50 pm, a white Hyundai Elantra with the registration number PEB 347 pulled up alongside Superville’s vehicle. Two individuals emerged from the car and proceeded to open fire, striking the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene. Witnesses immediately alerted the authorities, leading to a swift response from PC James and Ag Sgt Young.
The Grim Discovery
Upon arrival at the gas station, law enforcement officers found Superville’s lifeless body on the ground, bleeding from several gunshot wounds. Additional police personnel and a district medical officer arrived on the scene, confirming the victim’s demise and initiating the necessary procedures for body removal.
Ongoing Investigations
Crime scene investigators PC Ramersar and WPC Baptiste were summoned to gather evidence, including numerous spent shells at the location of the shooting. The investigation into this tragic incident is still ongoing as authorities work to uncover the circumstances surrounding Superville’s untimely death.
A Series of Tragedies
This recent homicide marks the seventh murder in the capital city of Trinidad for the month of June. Just days prior, another grim discovery was made when an unidentified male’s decomposing body was found near the Beetham water treatment plant. The rise in violent crimes has left residents disillusioned with the government’s inaction in addressing the escalating security concerns.
