A young woman tragically lost her life in a car mishap while filming a reel near Sulibhanjan Dattadham Temple in Sambhaji Nagar, located 340.3 km away from Mumbai. The incident, which took place on Monday afternoon, June 17, around 2 PM, has left the community in shock.

Victim identified as Shweta Deepak Surwase
The deceased, identified as Shweta Deepak Surwase, was a 23-year-old resident of Hanuman Nagar, Sambhaji Nagar. She was with her friend Shivraj Sanjay Mule, 25, at the time of the incident. The two had driven to the area with the intention of capturing footage for a social media reel.
Tragic Turn of Events
While Shweta was operating the vehicle in reverse gear, an unexpected mishap occurred. The car slipped, leading to inadvertent pressure on the accelerator, causing the vehicle to overturn and fall into the valley below. Tragically, Shweta succumbed to her injuries on the spot and was declared deceased.
Police Investigation Underway
Following the accident, the Khultabad Police swiftly conducted a panchnama at the scene. They have also summoned the relatives of both the deceased and her friend for further inquiry into the incident. The authorities are working diligently to unravel the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking tragedy.

In a separate incident in Mumbai, two individuals lost their lives after a speeding chemical tanker crashed into their scooter on the National Park Bridge on Mumbai’s Western Express Highway. The driver of the tanker has been apprehended by Kasturba Marg Police for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
