According to reports, Bolan and another woman set sail on a 12-foot sailboat from Evanston on Sunday night. The Coast Guard located Bolan a mile offshore north of Winnetka and swiftly transported her to Montrose Harbor for medical attention. Despite valiant efforts by first responders and local paramedics who performed CPR, Bolan sadly succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by the Chicago Fire Department.
