Seeking Justice for Paige Stalker: A Cold Case Unsolved

It has been nearly a decade since the tragic murder of 16-year-old Paige Stalker in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. Despite the passage of time, the case remains unsolved, leaving her family and friends desperate for answers.

Paige was just a teenager when she was senselessly shot and killed while sitting in a car with three others on the Detroit-Grosse Pointe Park border. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and no arrests have been made in connection with her death.

Paige’s sister, Avery Stalker, has been vocal about her frustration and helplessness in the face of the unsolved case. She recently spoke out, expressing her family’s desire for justice and closure.

“I feel helpless, that’s why I contacted you guys,” Avery said in a heartfelt plea for answers. For almost ten years, the Stalker family has been living in limbo, unsure of who took the life of their beloved daughter and sister on that fateful night in December 2014.

A Night of Tragedy

On the night of her murder, Paige had been picked up by friends and ended up parked at the corner of Charlevoix and Philip, where they were planning to smoke marijuana. It was there that another vehicle pulled up and unleashed a hail of gunfire, ultimately claiming Paige’s life.

The shooting, carried out with an AK-47, was a case of mistaken identity, according to retired Detroit Police Deputy Chief Steve Dolunt. Despite the thorough investigation conducted by the police, including the recovery of the weapon and identification of a suspect, no charges have been filed.

A Quest for Answers

The Stalker family, along with Steve Dolunt, are determined to see justice served in Paige’s case. They have been in contact with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, urging them to revisit the investigation and bring charges against the individual responsible for Paige’s death.

The Prosecutor’s Office has cited a lack of evidence as the reason for not pursuing charges thus far. However, the Stalker family and their supporters remain hopeful that new evidence may come to light, leading to a breakthrough in the case.

A Plea for Closure

As the years have passed, the pain of Paige’s loss has only deepened for her loved ones. Her father passed away without seeing justice served for his daughter, adding to the family’s anguish.

Avery Stalker and Steve Dolunt continue to advocate for a resolution to Paige’s case, believing that charging the responsible party would bring some measure of closure and peace to their hearts.

“We will never have full-on real closure,” Avery acknowledged. “But knowing that he is charged or whoever is responsible is charged, that will bring more ease to my mind at night.”

The Stalker family’s quest for justice for Paige Stalker continues, as they refuse to give up hope that one day, the truth will come to light and those responsible will be held accountable for their actions..
