A 35-year-old woman named Madhumathi from Thiruvottriyur found herself in a terrifying situation when her dress got caught in the horns of a charging buffalo. This incident took place on a narrow lane of Grama Theru on a Sunday afternoon. As the buffalo rushed towards her, her clothing got snagged in the animal’s horns, causing her to be dragged along the street. In a shocking CCTV footage, it was captured that Madhumathi was physically lifted and placed on top of the animal, while other residents, including a couple of boys, ran in panic.

As Madhumathi cried out for help, brave neighbors rushed to her rescue and managed to free her from the clutches of the buffalo. She was immediately taken to a private hospital for treatment, as the public chased the animal, causing it to damage vehicles parked on the roadside. The animal was then taken to the Greater Chennai Corporation’s shelter in Pulianthope under the supervision of City Health Officer M. Jagadeesan.
