Man Arrested for Alleged Murder Plans
A man from Rajasthan has been arrested by the Mumbai Police in connection with a case involving firing outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in April. Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar, aged 25, was apprehended and brought to Mumbai on charges of criminal intimidation. The investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
Accused’s Video Threat
The accused, Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar, had reportedly uploaded a video on his YouTube channel where he threatened to kill Salman Khan. In the video, he claimed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs and declared his intention to harm the actor. The Mumbai Cyber Police took swift action after the video surfaced online.
Arrest and Investigation
After the seriousness of the threats became apparent, a team was dispatched to Rajasthan to investigate the matter further. The team successfully apprehended the accused and brought him back to Mumbai. The case has been registered at a cyber police station in the city, and the accused is facing charges under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology (IT) Act.
Previous Criminal Background
Authorities are currently looking into the accused’s background to determine if he has any prior criminal history. Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar has been arrested under Section 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with criminal intimidation. Previous Incidents
This incident is not the first time Salman Khan has been targeted by criminal elements. Earlier, two motorbike-borne individuals fired multiple rounds outside Khan’s residence in Bandra. In a separate case, Navi Mumbai Police had arrested five individuals, including a suspected member of the Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs, for allegedly planning an attack on Salman Khan. Four of the gang members had conducted reconnaissance on Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel, as well as the vicinity around his Bandra home and locations where he filmed movies.
Legal Proceedings
Lawrence Bishnoi, a key figure in this case, is currently incarcerated in the Sabarmati Central Prison in Ahmedabad. Mumbai police are planning to seek his custody for further questioning. Meanwhile, Bishnoi’s brother Anmol, who is believed to be in Canada, has been named as a wanted accused in the firing incident.
