The girl’s father, Alam Syed, had agreed to sell his daughter to the elderly man for a sum of PKR 500,000. Thankfully, the police intervened just before the ‘Nikkah’ ceremony took place and arrested the groom, identified as Habib Khan, along with the ‘Nikah Khwan’.

The minor girl was immediately sent to a hospital for a medical examination to ensure her safety and well-being.
