DNA samples provided by her and other relatives confirmed a positive match for Maritza Glean Grimmett, a native of Panama.
**Maritza’s Story**
Grimmett, who married a U.S. Marine in 1978 and gave birth to a daughter shortly after, relocated to the United States with her family. By the end of 1978, they settled in Columbus, Ohio, and later in Millington, Tennessee. However, in July 1979, Grimmett, then 20, began divorce proceedings and mentioned to her sister her intention to move to California. Sadly, her family never heard from her again.
