Gilbert J. Strupp, known affectionately as Gib, was a beloved member of the Slinger community. He was born on April 2, 1936, in Slinger, Wisconsin, to the late Henry and Margaret Strupp. Gib grew up in Slinger and attended local schools, where he excelled both academically and athletically. After graduating from Slinger High School, Gib proudly served his country in the United States Army.

After his honorable discharge from the military, Gib returned to Slinger and married the love of his life, Mary, with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage. Gib was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, always putting his family first and providing unwavering support and guidance.
In addition to his family, Gib was passionate about his community and his faith. He was an active member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Slinger, where he volunteered his time and talents to various church ministries.
