The Tragic Accident at Champion Farm
Two men tragically lost their lives in a devastating accident at Champion Farm in Kirkland, New York. The incident occurred on a Thursday morning when the men fell into a manure tanker while working on the farm.

The Victims
The two victims were identified as 33-year-old Nathan Doody from DeRuyter and 29-year-old Tyler Memory from Tully. Both men were not employees of Champion Farm but were at the farm for work when the accident took place.
The Accident
According to the Kirkland Police Department, the accident happened around 11 a.m. when one of the men attempted to retrieve a piece of equipment that had fallen into the tanker. Unfortunately, he passed out and fell inside the tanker. The second man then tried to help but also passed out and fell into the tanker.
Other workers at the farm quickly called 911, and emergency services responded promptly. Both men were rushed to the hospital but, tragically, were later pronounced dead.
The Response
Upon receiving the emergency call, the Clinton Fire Department, Oneida County Sheriff’s Department, and Mercy Flight helicopters all rushed to the scene to provide assistance. Despite their efforts, the two men could not be saved.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident. Authorities are looking into all possible factors that may have contributed to the tragic outcome.
