A woman in Nagpur and five other individuals have been apprehended by authorities in connection with the murder of an 82-year-old man named Puroshattam Puttewar, who happened to be the woman’s father-in-law.

**Mastermind Behind the Murder Plot**
The accused, identified as Archana Puttewar, is alleged to have orchestrated the murder by hiring individuals to carry out a staged ‘hit and run’ incident to make it appear as an accident. She reportedly paid a sum of Rs 1 crore to the perpetrators for the execution of the heinous crime. The police have indicated that the motive behind the murder seems to be the victim’s substantial property valued at Rs 300 crore.
**Arrests Made by the Authorities**
The 53-year-old woman collaborated with her brother and four others in planning the murder, all of whom have been taken into custody by the Nagpur police’s crime branch. The accused arranged for a used car to carry out the killing on May 22.
